Project Spotlight: Mountain View High School

Mountain 4

The City of El Monte, in collaboration with El Monte High School District, Sport Court Southern California, and Sports West Construction, declares the grand unveiling of 2 multi-use courts at Mountain View High School in El Monte, California.

This court unveiling is vital to the school's academia.  It promotes sports development and reflects our academic and extracurricular excellence commitment.

Demo the old, in with the new.

Our work at Mountain View High School began with the demolition of six existing hoop systems.  Paving the way for four fixed 72/48 hoop systems, the final court was complete with durable footings, ensuring stability and safety during intense gameplay.

Additionally, our team worked on installing:

  • four aluminum net poles
  • two net adjustment systems
  • two multi-sport nets

Recognizing the importance of safety and accessibility, we took a look at the fencing surrounding the fitness center. We installed over 300 feet of 6-foot-tall chain-link fencing and just over 90 feet of 3-foot-tall chain-link fencing. To facilitate seamless entry and exit, we incorporated five 6'x4' gates. Equipped with locking latches, the gates offer both security and convenience for students and staff.

Central to our renovation efforts was the installation of over 11,000 square feet of our PowerGame+ modular sports flooring.

Powergame Plus has a patented, shock-absorbing grid understructure. That, combined with low skin abrasion compared to traditional concrete or asphalt courts, ensures safe gameplay for years to come.

Custom Logos

Adorning the center of the court is a striking 12-foot center logo, serving as a tribute to the school mascot and the history of Mountain View High School. A visual focal point for athletes and spectators alike.

Game Lines

Catering to the diverse interests of the student body, our game lines are placed in line with each other, creating an aesthetic feel for the courts.

  • (2) sets of White HS Basketball Lines
  • (2) sets of Volleyball Game Lines
  • (6) sets of gray pickleball lines.

To ensure a polished finish, we installed over 400 feet of 3/4" aluminum edging, complemented by an ADA-compliant ramp for seamless transition between areas. These meticulous details not only enhance the aesthetics of the fitness center but also underscore our commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
