Arroyo High School

The City of El Monte, in collaboration with El Monte High School District, Sport Court Southern California, and Sports West Construction, declares the grand unveiling of 2 multi-use courts at El Monte High School in El Monte, California.

Modernized Hoop Systems

We began by demolishing four outdated hoop systems and installing four fixed 72/48 hoop systems. With sturdy footings, these hoops provide student-athletes with top-of-the-line equipment.

Removable Net Systems

Enhancing the school's sporting options, we erected four aluminum net poles, equipped with four net adjustment systems and two multi-sport nets, catering to a diverse range of athletic pursuits.

Secure Perimeter

Prioritizing safety and security, we installed over 300 feet of 6-foot-tall chain-link fencing and 80 linear feet of 3-foot-tall chain-link fencing. To secure the perimeter, these are complemented by five 6'x4' gates outfitted with locking latches for controlled access.

State-of-the-Art Surfacing

Central to our renovation efforts was the installation of more than 7,000 square feet of Sport Court PowerGame+ modular sport-surfacing. This court presents a gray and bright blue color combination.

PowerGame Plus has a patented, shock-absorbing grid understructure. That, combined with low skin abrasion compared to traditional concrete or asphalt courts, ensures safe gameplay for years to come.

Custom Logos

Adorned with a 12-foot center circle logo, the court serves as a vibrant hub for student-athletes.

Precision Line Painting

We meticulously painted two sets of white basketball lines, two sets of black volleyball lines, and six sets of blue pickleball lines, ensuring clear markings for each activity.

Finishing Touches

To complete the project with finesse, we installed 344 linear feet of 3/4" aluminum edging, complemented by a yellow ADA-compliant ramp for seamless accessibility.

About El Monte High School

Situated in the heart of El Monte, California, El Monte High School dates back to its founding in 1901. As one of the oldest high schools in the San Gabriel Valley, El Monte High School has undergone significant growth over the years. Evolving from a modest classroom with a dozen students to a bustling campus serving approximately 1,400 students today.

At El Monte High School, tradition runs deep, exemplified by the enduring symbol of the lion. Rooted in the community's history, the school's mascot pays homage to Gay's Lion Farm, a prominent attraction in early 20th-century El Monte. Though the lion farm has faded into memory, the spirit of the lion lives on. Immortalized in murals and statues adorning the campus as a testament to the school's heritage.

Empowering Student Athletes

Through our collaboration with El Monte High School, SportsWest Construction is turning dreams into reality, one court at a time. By providing state-of-the-art facilities that blend tradition with innovation, we empower student-athletes to rise above the rest on our courts of distinction.

Pushing the limits of possibility, court by court.
